The Roman Catholic church of St. Nicolas seems to keep watch over all, welcoming the approaching traveller from afar. Holiday in the health resort Pfronten is active and relaxing at the same time. Between hills, calm lakes, gently sloping meadows and the majestic slopes of the Alps you can find 195 km marked trails for hikers and 175 km cycle and mountain bike tracks.

The Allgäu region around Pfronten is waiting to be explored – on walks, long hikes or cycle tours, from hut to hut, from peak to peak, on different nature walks or Nordic-walking paths. Seeing the world from above, getting away – what a wonderful feeling to be on top of it all. A highlight as well is the 53 km all-the-year marked mountain-bike-marathon- trail. The Falkenstein ruins, the highest situated castle ruins of Germany were King Ludwig II dreamt of constructing a castle even bigger and more spectacular than Neuschwanstein, could easily be explored by E-bike. In winter Pfronten offers all varieties of ski fun and winter sports.

For children there is a lot to explore – nine different playgrounds abduct the young guests in the world of knights, pirates, circus and fairy tales. Are you on the quest of new spirit and energy?
